Whats your experience with the Skoda Service centres?

Featured Replies

I've just picked up my new car, a MkI Octavia VRS in Silver. It is due a service next month. We bought a Seat at the beginning of the year and took it to Seat to have some work done under Warrenty, as it still had a month left.

I have to say I wasn't very impressed with the level of service we were given and they didn't fill me with confidence at all.... this issue is, our Skoda Service centre is the same place as the Seat one, so will more than likely be the same team of people.

Should I just look to go elsewhere? I live in Farnborough Hampshire, if anyone knows and can recomend a good place to have the car serviced.

Thanks

I know I live miles away but...

my local dealer has just changed to Nissan, but they are still a vag service centre, and somehow seem more willing and able to work on vag cars.

This could be that they are all vag techies, and have been forced to become nissan ones, but they seem to prefer to work ong vag cars.

A bit random I know, sorry..

Pleased with my dealer in Sway Dorset the service is excellent 100%

Would this be the Camberley Seat and Skoda service centre ?

Yes thats the one

If you don't like them complain to Skoda! They'll listen!

I know I live miles away too but my 'local' dealer Parkside are spot on.

Also I don't know if your aware, that your warranty will be unaffected if you use a VAT Registered independent garage too if you really don't want to use your Skoda agent.

I have had a couple of poor dealings with my local dealer, but then moved to one slightly further away and they have been great.

I always ask to speak to the one of the service guys on dropping off my car, rather than the guy at the desk, just to explain directly.

If its not under warrenty you can go anywhere to have it serviced,DIY or find a local VAG specialist.

You can go to a specialist and provided they use genuine VAG parts it will not affect your warranty.

You can, however be careful as some "specialists" charge the same or more than a main dealer.
