Faulty CD changer

Featured Replies

My factory fitted cd changer is playing up. The head unit doesnt seem to be able to read any disc from it. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be? Has anybody else had this problem in the past? Cheers

What is the message saying" magazine" then " error". if so, check the changer lead to head unit for frayed cable, or not connected right.

If that fails remove the cd changer, open it up and give it a good clean. Also check the cable in to the changer too...Hope this helps:thumbup:

Probably a dirty lens. Give it a clean and that should do it!

i had this problem when i bought my fabia brand new didn't even know the car had a changer till i was hoovering it out and found it under the seat! Then when i tried it realised it didn't work properly took it back to the garage under warranty in total 3 times and its still never been fixed to this day i've given up with it now.
