Hello briskbrothers and brisksisters, Got a question......

my octy vrs is tappety even when warm/hot anything you can think of, i think it is louder than should be! help!

A tappy tappet is a happy tappet.

Get it in to be looked at. It could be nothing (assuming oil level is ok) or it might be linked to the HP fuel pump.

Seriously, if your worried park it next to another & have a listen, if yours is a lot worse go to your local dealer or mechanic for a listen'in

Good point, If you not sure the cannister is more of a loud tick than a tap & is incredibly common & nothing to worry about

Could also be the injectors.They are quite noisy on mine.

Mines doing it a fair bit after a 30-40min drive back from work, looks just to be charcoal cannister and settles down after I let the car idle for a few mins..

Seems to be more frequent with the current cold weather - still drives great ;)
