WHAT FITTMENT DO I NEED TO FIT 18" RIMS TO A FABIA VRS?

8" wide will be fine. 5x100 PCD

I had 215/35 18s on mine, and thats spot on for a Fabia vRS.

You need to make sure you get the correct offset, this will depend on the width of the wheels... ideally you want ET 42-47 IIRC, but don't quote me on that.

does that mean that 18" rims from an octavia will fit as the 17" standard octy rims do?

No, the 18" ones off the octyII are a different fittment.

Octy II fitment are 5x112 PCD

Octy I fitment are 5x100 PCD (same as Fabia).

wil i be able to run 40 profiles with the 18s or is that to much do i need 35s?

You need 215/35/18 I'd have thought.

Wouldnt 18s be pretty bad for the handling and acceleration?

Not to mention the ride and comfort....

You definately need 5 x 100, 18 x 8 fit a treat with 215/35/18's. If the wheels are heavy - ie replicas, expect handling and acceleration to suffer slightly. No scrubbing lowered on 25mm eibachs either.

If I was to put 18's on again, i'd use 18 x 7 or 7.5, just to get some rim protection from the tyre.
