Fabia VRS brake questions..

Featured Replies

1. Does the VRS have a "brake pads low" sensor and warning light?

2. The handbrake is sticking on mine if I leave it sat for a couple of days and it rains, is there anything I can grease or adjust to stop this?

1) no

2) not sure... how cold was it? I do know that water in the cables can freeze and make your handbrake stick... used to happen on my vRS when i had to drive away in the am at sub-zero temps...... after a few miles/or warm days, no probs...

not very cold. 5-10 degrees.

but its after its been sat for a few days and its rained.

Its usually the pad sticking to the surface of the disc that causing the sticking. I wouldn't advise against greasing the pads surface.

Don't grease the pads or discs - you'll have no breaks!

Newsflash!

You might even have no brakes.
