National Tyres Oil Change - Am I being Paranoid?

Featured Replies

Took the Octy in for an oil change, terrific offer, filter & Castrol Edge fully synthetic 5w-30 for £28.80, booked & paid for in advance. Couldn't do it myself for that price!

All went well with no problems & went away feeling quite pleased with myself. But the next day I started having doubts, at no stage did I ever see the container the oil came in.

The fitter just poured in oil from a large plastic jug, filled out of sight from a back room.

OK, perhaps it came from a bulk drum, but a search on the internet seems to suggest it's only ever supplied in the standard 4 Litre containers.

So, should I be worried?

Chris

:)Go back and ask to see the container/drum where the oil came from, if they have nothing to hide they won't mind.

We have bulk 208 litre drums of Castrol edge.

If your doing an offer like that it would make sense to use bulk oil as its a lot cheaper.

Thanks Lummox, that's set my mind at rest. I was a bit worried that Castrol Edge only came in 1 & 4 Litre packs.
