Hi all and Happy Easter!

I wondered if anyone had installed some of the wonderful JL Audio ZR Components in their Fabia or knew anymore about them. I am presuming, I may need a custom install rather than a straight fit?

Any more help or experience with them would be great.

They're a bit on the deep side. I've got the VRs and they're 62mm. The RS of the woofer is on on very near to the glass guide that sits behind it.

I think at the least you'd have to "fettle" the door cards. Unless you're a dab hand with fabrication, I guess that means a minor custom build.

J, many thanks for the feedback - defo a minor build and need to choose an appropriate amp.... a little project for this year when funds allow!

62 mm depth are not to difficult to fit i have 65 mm deep rainbows and you only have to do a very minor mod with a dremel to get them to fit.And remember to paint in the edge you have cut.

You can get around 65mm deep speakers into the front doors of a fabia vrs. You will need to either buy the spacers or build a set of spacers / rings to offset the speaker enough so that the rear end of it doesn't hit the window rail.
