I was at the lights on a duel carriage way road that about 1/4 of a mile down the road turned into a one lane road

i happend to be on the outside lane next to a volvo 4x4(dont know what spec)

The lights changed to red and i pulled away nice and slow not wanting to look like some type of red light bandit

Anyway

A couple of meters up the road i decided it was best to get infront of the gas guzzler before the road turned into single file

Cue the volvo deciding that a skoda wasnt overtaking it and flooring it as i was level

I saw my ****

So me and my little hatchback decided that the single lane was ours

The volvo pulled away with ease and it looked bad as the road started to narrrow

Then

The furbie came into its element after being whoopped up to 50mph the little car

kicked in against the big swedish beast

and after it looking like a bad lesson for small hatch back driver against superiour swedish machinery the little chech diesel flew past the volvo with ease to take the coveted single lane

Lesson

Dont underestimate a crappy skoda volvo boy:D:D

See its all Talk and no trousers, they never ask whats under the bonnet, See the badge and think piece of ****.

Just take it easy fella, dont want any accidents:thumbup:

sounds like a David vs Goliath moment

We have a volvo like the one your on about, its the xc90 ;)

It must have been the 2.4 d5 oil burning version cos if it had been the T6 version like what we have you wouldnt have stood a chance, 2.9 twin turbo 272bhp :D

Or the driver didnt even notice you and wasnt trying

Can of worms thread If i am honest :o

My mrs was in the car with me and she said i went purple then started red lining the car(i know bad driving but i was in too much haste to be a cool rev counter watcher)

It did **** me off a bit

God knows why the bellend in the volvo decided that i wasnt getting in front of him

The Z3 driver behind me at the lights must of thought i was a loon:D

Your going to get an earbashing from the righteous people for this thread.

The furby is a quick wee car but it's not quick enough :(

I got absolutely trounced by a T6. Very impressive.
