Are roof racks interchangeable?

I've got a X reg Fabia and want to fit a roof rack.

I remember reading somewhere that if you have the Skoda Octavia brand (well it's Thule really) roof rack that fits on the roof holes (not the type that clamps underneath) then you can also fit it to the Fabia by adjusting something on it...

Anyone know about this???

I've been struggling to find the Fabia kit (LAT 410 001) but can get hold of the Octavia kit (LAM 071 040A)....

Not sure about that. Certainly the roof racks for the MK1 Octavia do not fit on the MK2, clever marketing by Skoda methinks.

:thumbup:Well my Thule (Skoda branded) roof rack fit my Octavia H/B y2000 and also fit the wifes Fabia H/B y2002 as it fits into the plastic roof rails (just slide the fixings down the bar), don't buy the roof racks that fit into the top of the door as I tried them and took them back.
