Busy week

Featured Replies

Well I have some much needed time off work and have my list of things to do on the car.

Have purchased and fitted a CAI from ebay which replaced my pipercross induction kit and is so much better despite being half the price, must say thanks Rob Clubley for the carbonio fitting pics as the ebay kit didnt have instructions so your guide helped me loads :)

Julian from Balance replaced the U bolts on my whiteline after one snapped and have just fitted that back on, you don't realise how good these bars are until you have one and take it off again.

So I am left to fit my Forge TIP and am going to replace the front control arm bushes with superpto jobbies. Car is booked in on Tuesday for rad mounts and hopefully my annoying rattling will cease after that.

Finally a good clean inside and out and I will be done

All sounds good

Happy to be of service :D

ever though of making your site a members only site Rob? You could have made a small fortune by now

I should have a per-view charge on the famous "where to attach the boost gauge pipe' photo.

I'd be slightly rich by now!

Happy to know I'm providing a public service :D

Fitted the superpro bushes today took about 2 hours all in. They are easier to fit than i thought, never having worked on suspension before I was a little apprehensive. Drilled the old bushes and they pushed out with ease, used a 130mm long M12 nut & bolt and some big washers to get the small front bushes in, just tightened the nut and it pushed the bush straight in :D bigger rear bush just pushed in by hand. Doddle job and to think I was thinking of paying a garage to do it, saved me over £100 labour . My rattle/knock under braking has now gone and the car is noticably much quieter. Will do the TIP tomoz if the weather holds out

Fitted my TIP...real bugger of a job, ended up cutting the turbo end down by about 10mm just to get it to the turbo, once I did that it pretty much went straight on :). Need to get a new hose for the top of the DV as it is a bit stretched but everything is working fine.

Looking good mate!

That fitting on the turbo is an absolute pig to get on!

:iagree:

you really need a helper, one to push it from the top and the other underneath to guide it onto the turbo.
