reset engine immobiliser?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Sorry, not very good with cars/mechanics!

had problems replacing my battery on skoda fabia 1.4 as the end of positive wire/lead was corroded. Anyway after a couple of days I sorted it and changed the battery and now it wont start (not the battery as I tried with jump leads). Think it may be the engine immoboliser. Is there any way I can reset it? If not do I have to go to a skoda dealership and how much will it cost??

Any help would be much welcome!

The immobilizer wont stop the car starting, it just cuts out after a few seconds. I think your problem lies elsewhere. Has the lead onto the starter also corroded?
