Aches n Pains..

Featured Replies

Does anyone else suffer with aches and pains from their Octy?

Since owning mine I've had various problems with my knee's.

I know my knee's arent in the best of health LOL, so it wont be 100% the car.

Just wondered if anyone else has suffered anything, or if its just my bad luck!

I've aquired a random pain in my right foot on the top where it joins my ankle since driving the octy, although I have been know to to be in the car for more than 24hrs in one week. Maybe be the octy or just cars in general and it would have happened with whatever I drove.

I actually decided on an Octavia because I was having back and knee problems which I was convinced were caused by my previous car. The Octy seemed to suit me much better. Two years on I'm ache-less and can happily drive anywhere in the country and get out feeling fine.

I guess different cars just fit different people :P

I reckon its just you boys doing too many miles.

I do alot of miles yea.. but i did 30k miles in my Mondeo and didnt have too many issues.

The octavia is the only car i've driven recently that hasn't given me any back problems !!

I drive my dads Avensis now and again, and even after 15mins i can feel myself getting sore.

I get aches and pains but iam in my car 12 hours a day.

ive done a few longish trips and never been overly achey (or any more than usual!!) maybe your seat is in bad posistion?

I generally get a sore bum after a log journey in my vrs, but I find the seats very supportive for my back. However, the seats in my old Rover 214 were more comfortable.

i find my knee can ache after a long journey, may be seat postioning, but i also found my rover 214SEI seats much more comfy lol, good old rovers, can't beat then :S

Aye me 220Gti was a laugh but slow and guzzled oil for some reason but seat was quite hard and comfy like the octy.

slow!!, i had a 220GSI which was pushin 160bhp and that seemed fast!!, not alot to the 220 rovers, but very fun car.

Mine was a standard 140bhp, the vrs would cain it. When i parked on uneven ground the door would catch due to poor chassis. Cornering was bad too but i liked the looks of it, it was a good car at the time but i longed for the turbo:cool:.

I get a pain in my side from the seat, but that may be me leaning as Im driving. Seat could do with being an inch or two across.

ive noticed myself doing this a few times and wondered why. seems to be a sub concious thing. glad im not the only one though!

Luckily I found the opposite. I had a 306 before and the seats were so unsupportive that a long journey would give me a twinge in my back and even worse a sore left ear from my gf constantly complaining about how uncomfortable it was.

No such problems with the Octy... which is suprising because I sat in the passenger seat the other day and she's got the lumbar support on its hardest level :/

I used to slump in my seat alot which started aches and not having the most comfortable of cars added to this but the skoda made a difference ,I just cant get out of the habit of slouching and being in the car alot takes its toll, I picked up a CG Lock at a show which has pretty much solved the slumping issue and as a bonus feels ace on the r/abouts and twisty roads:thumbup:
