White Octavia vRS Estate?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anyone ordered a new Octavia vRS Estate in white?

I'm curious to see how many people will go for it, I reckon it will look very nice especially with the sunset glass and silver roof rails.

Best of all it's a free colour!

I imagine after not very long on the road it will become a very dirty colour :thumbdwn:

Race Blue, now THATS a colour

I do like Race Blue but it is a little common now, I keep seeing other cars in similar blues. I'd rather have corrida red than race blue. But I think a white one cleaned will look awesome.

Plus think of it's lane clearing abilities on the motorway.....

Hmm, didn't think of that. Perhaps you get a high vis jacket with it?.

common no...popular yes :D

Ever since considering ordering my VRS - which probably was September 2007 when I started to seriously consider it, I have only seen two Race Blue ones on the road in six months of driving - so they are far from common in my neck of the woods

I was over reacting, they're only common for me since I work in a Skoda showroom.

To be fair your right they aren't that many it just seems tha a lot of manufactures jumped on the shiney blue colour for their performance cars.

Desperatly trying to convince every single vRS customer I find to order a white one.

Hi there, I will be ordering a new Vrs combi tdi when the 2009 model year is made available in Ireland.I am seriously toying with the idea of a white one with privacy glass but every dealer I say this to tell me to avoid a white one like the plague!! Anyway this might help you Škoda Octavia RS TDI: nejlepší ze škodovek? | Auto | Atlas.cz

Only ever heard of one other white vRS estate on here so if you did go for it would be rare as rocking horse doo dah!

Personally I tnink it lacks something as the estate in white, a bit too utilitarian for my liking, suits the hatch better imo. Sprint Yellow.......................now your talking ;)

I wanted a white one and was told white was not a free option for Vrs but a special!

were the dealers wrong?

when you see a race blue octavia you know instantly its a vRS, if you see a black, red, yellow one you have a look to see if its a vRS but to me the white just makes it look like a normal octavia, dare i say it, makes it look like a TAXI! :P

just my opinion thats all

Candy White is a solid colour and therefore is a 'no cost option', you dealer was wrong!

It's strictly not a colour for the UK market. The dealer has to order the car in another solid colour (e.g. red) then three weeks or so after ordering, send a fax to the factory saying 'Ooops we ordered the wrong colour, please change to white'!

Ahhhhhhhhh, no; not white. You'll never move it on, surely!

Nah I reckon a nice clean shiney one out on the front with some decals would catch someones imagination and would sell fairly easily, although I probably wouldn't want it back after 3 years as much as a black one mind.

True, but it's only a variation to the original order not a 'special'!

I wish the dealers would keep up to speed with this stuff, afterall it is their job to know these things. A dealer local to me did not even know their was a new SUK website let alone that you could spec white for the vRS! :thumbdwn:

Well, there you go then! :)

local dealer has a vrs tdi estate in bright yellow!

looks somewhat lairy with privacy glass and 19" alloys they put on it

much prefer the white, but think it looks best in race blue :)

Can you post up a pic of it, like to see that!

My VRS

Pic of my white VRS Tdi in the dealership, just arrived rom the factory and now waiting for the nokia Bluetooth handsfreekit to be fitted before i get it... No rush though, it has snowed about 30 cm or so in the last couple of days here, it looked as if I could leave it on the 18" summer tyres and only fit the crappy 16 alloys and wintertyres next fall... but...

Here is also a picture of the car-salesmans red VRS tdi with Milotec-extras.. Not too shabby... at least I like it.RED Milotec VRS

hmm.....

White cars are rare for a good reason:

I had a white car once - never again!

Looked great new (well nearly new) but after a couple of winters lost its gloss and ended up matt white. Picked up stone chips like no other car I ever had.

Someone once told me that white paint is very soft because of the high pigment content but that was years ago so maybe they have improved or use some king of coating now.

Reagarding motorway lane clearing potential - don't forget that the same thing happens on the windy B roads where they just slow down - can't get past...

Those black vinyl a and b pillar strips look great, and are a must for the white one... anyone know where I can get some?

I'd love a white vRS, and I loved my white Passat. They just look stunning when they are clean. :)

I was wrong, White vRS Estate looks the 'nads' :o
