hi every1

need a new clutch an flywheel, as i wanted to hear my new exhaust from outside,and made the mistake of letting my girlfriend do the demo.

sounded very nice but was wondering why my car sounded fast but was not really moving anywhere

opened the bonnet and my gearbox was smokin and stunk of clutch

luckily car still drives but judders on take off and slips on boost.

so time for a new clutch an flywheel, does any1 have 1 fitted and know where to get them from,

have seen 1 at awesome and 2 on a site called vagworx

help/advice would be really appreciated,cheers

Give Nick a call at Jabba, as they do an excellent uprated Sachs clutch and single mass lightened and balanced flywheel, all the parts required are spec'd for the G60.

Just seen this OCTAVIA VRS 1.8T RIGED FLYWHEEL/ CLUTCH CONVERSION KIT on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 08-Apr-08 22:08:36 BST)

Looks like its lightened due to it being single mass.

Thoughts please?

should be fine mate, valeo are a good well known manafacture.

Valeo are the OEM manufacturers for VW anyway.

You may find it cheaper to buy direct from VW flywheel around £110 and a clutch kit £90 ( based on the slightly larger vr6 one) which has a higher torque rating.

Well i don't require one yet but original poster does.

Would the vw one be single or dual mass?

The single mass one is on the link i posted. I thought vag ones were dual.

Speak to Nick, (01733) 211779. I was speaking to him Friday regarding their new dogs ****** Sachs clutch kit for my 6 speed box. Tell him I said hi:thumbup:

I know they have plenty for the 5 speed box in store, it will be just the ticket for you mate, light weight single mass flywheel, uprated pressure plate and clutch....nice!

They drive much nicer with the lighter flywheel, much snappier in the midrange!

1 of my mates has a standard clutch so im gonna fit that 1st so ive got chance to fix faults an save up for a clutch.
