What size / type of screws should be used for fixing number plates (or number plate holders) to a Fabia?

All advice appreciated.

you can get the cups and caps for normal self taping screws (white/yellow/black) or you can do what i did and use numberplate double sided tape a few quid on ebay, saves having screws

What I want to do is to attach my numberplate holders to the car using screws. I am then planning to attach the plates to the holders using heavy duty velcro tape for easy changeability.

Actually theres some initiative round here where they want you to use secure screws. They left a big plastic coated leaflet on my car and there is advertising everywhere, a bit of paper and the screws would have been more helpful.
