Nearly gave the service reception guy a heart attack

Featured Replies

My car is due its first service, but is also in need a some warranty work, to date they have replaced anti roll bar & bushes to try and cure suspension creaking on the front & this faild.

Re washer pipe has popped of twice & on one occasion caused the high level brake light to remain on all the time, and various parts replaced, anyway here this list a things to be sorted on the first service.

1. Replacement front windscreen.

2. All suspension bushes to be replaced

3. New headlights(due to condensation)

4. New high level brake light(condensation & poor washer performance, sometimes its powerful, others times its not)

4. Check steering geometry as rear tyres very noisey & I mean noisey but wearing OK.

5. Gear lever notchy & makes a graunching noise when chaging gear.

6. The bloody flywheel.

The receptionist who is new could not believe the amount of work required, I will keep you updated, but car going to dealer in 3 weeks time.

Blimey.

Is this a diesel model per chance?

Did you buy a LADA?

56 reg 1.9 tdi estate

I thought the flywheel was on 2.0TDi that had to be changed? and not 1.9.

Both are effected wit flywheel issues.

Headlights misting is usually considered normal as they arent a sealed unit, i'm guessing by now on a 56 plate all of the ones that have been modified have been. There was a recall on them sometime ago with regards to blocking a vent hole.

hi - what symptoms are you having with the flywheel?
