Fabia 1.416V 35,000+ repairs

Featured Replies

I have experienced the sad, expensive and seemingly common repairs at this mileage, anti-roll bar, air-con faults, clutch master cylinder, cooling problems and ahead suspension bushes, etc. £350. So I would like to get some idea of possible future repairs for the next 20,000K, probably four years for me. I could then decide if a more reliable car would be better. Those of you who have done over 35, 000 and beyond 55, 000 could you please give me possible typical repairs that may lie ahead.

Also how long might my renewed anti-roll bar last, a lot longer than the original I hope!

Thanks for any experience of this matter.

Piston Rings.

Very common and costly.

Have a search about it many threads, not something i'd like :thumbdwn:

Sounds to me like you've had a bit of a lemon!! Maybe perserve with it in hope that now you've replaced so much it will now be reliable?

:)

A couple of other common problems you might encounter...

Track rod ends wearing out

Various bushes wearing out

Heated seats packing up

Clutch pedal snapping

Evap Temp Sensor (air con) packing up

Ventilation flap motors packing up

Ventilation resistor pack packing up

PAS packing up

Rear door leaks

One of my brake calipers also needed replacing as the seal had perished but I've not read of anyone else having this problem. :D

Don't forget the leaky door seals, leaving rear washer pipe, failed front ARB/ARB bushes, rusted rear brakes on disc models etc etc
