Pixels?

Featured Replies

How can i make a banner with MSpublisher and know its the right size for say...the banners at the top of Briskoda?

Cheers

Your best bet is to start with something much larger than you need it to be, save it and then resize it down from that. Creating it small just creates more work than you think.

I tried that....

Thing is i cant find a resize section on MS Publisher?

If you right click on the banner (in FF) and select properties, it will give you the banners description in pixels (px).

I'm not very familiar with Publisher (other than it is poop and makes huge files) but there will probably be a resize or canvas size option there somewhere in px.

But you have to relate px with resolution. A 100px image on a screen running at 640x480 will look bigger (take up more screen area) than it would on a 1024x768 screen. It's even trickier with print.

As stated start much bigger than you need and scale down. Keep a big original. You can shrink a big image but you can't make a small one bigger. It goes blocky (pixelated).
