Rattly exhaust

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

Just got home from work to day and got my stuff from the back seat, closed the door and... *rattle*. I've since been out to see if it exists while driving and it does (music off and freewheeling for a moment). My Dad thinks it could be a bush or something. Anyone know if he's right? If thats what it is, is it something I can fix myself or should I nip into a local mechanic?

Thanks in advance,

Vista

The above might be a little vague, but I managed to get out in the sun this lunchtime to take a look and I think I found the problem.

I take it that's a loose heat shield? Don't know how this could have happened, never noticed any sort of bang etc. Is this a big job?

Would appreciate any kind words.

One of mine is hanging off as well.

There is like a metal disc thing holding the other one on, I doubt theyre much from a dealer
