Odd size, why would you want to?

why is it an odd size?

To maintain the speedo accuracy you would need 235/40 tyres, and aftermarket wheels because the 235 width is to wide for the oem wheels.

Have you got some special wheels in mind that need this size or just want to have more rubber?

Its just i know of a set cheap for sale and as i have to change my tyres i thought if they would fit the extra rubber on the floor wouldnt be a bad thing. I thought 235s would go on the oem wheels? I dont understand why the width would put the speedo out, is it the extra contact causing more friction and slowing the car so to speak?

The profile of the tyre is a percentage of the width, eg 235/45 the height of the tyre will be 0.45 * 235. So the overall diameter of the tyre will be larger than the 0.45 * 225 most people tend to use.
