Xenon lights...option or not??

Featured Replies

Were xenon lights an option for the VRS? I know they were standard on the WRC model. May be viewing a car which owners says has them, or are they gonna be HID's...

Car is a 2003 if that makes a difference..

Yes - mine has them. I specified them as an option on my 2004 vRS. Well worth the money. Easy to spot - there are two projector lenses in the headlamp cluster. Normal halogens have one. And when they are switched on - light into day :D:thumbup:

Oh, and xenon and HID are the same thing..............

Yep well worth having imo. I didn't have them on my MK1 but specified them for my MK2 and there is a huge difference. Really makes night time driving pleasurable!

Would a 2002 TDi Elegance 110 have them? Guessing not :(

Maybe the OP was using the term HID as the aftermarket kits and Xenon as the OEM factory units.

OEM will have headlamp wash and auto leveling. Aftermarket HIDS may have headlamp wash but manual/no level.

I agree. I went to buy mine because it had the xenons.

As said factory fit option.

Cheers

Also washer jets come with Xenons, easier way to notice.

Good point :)

I have them - wouldn't be without them now.
