Clutch Replacement

Featured Replies

Just replaced the clutch on my Felicia, its taken 6 odd hours with a couple of breaks still

a few bits to do to finish.

That clutch if it was original (Sachs) was on about 85,000 miles it was still o.k but I did

encounter a slight slip on a journey from Romford to Cumbria at easter, since that time I had been

taking fairly easy......but the clutch had to be replaced........I have read that some regard

the Felicia as a fairly easy clutch change job, I think apart from 80s Vauxhall Cavalier which was a breeze my fave was the VW jetta.

The difficult bit with the Felicia Clutch is the re-assembly, I was getting a little stressed at

one stage it did not seem to want to join together, gearbox and engine that is, it was just

a case of jacking up the two halves and attempting to clamp up in the end all came good !!.

Nice to hear all went well

Let us know if you get any knocking etc. I had mine replaced and its knocking now.

Hi there,

No knocking, but speedo cable must have got stretched in gear box removal as

speedo not working at the moment otherwise all sweet !!!!!

All skodas hace 3 speeds so who needs a speedo cable :D

Reverse, fast and faster :P

The speedo cable is a little awkward as my mechanic found out when he replaced my oil warning light

Anyone has technical infos for the clutch replacement can share? thanks a lot!
