well men i have a question for vrs petrol owners, my car on tickover gives the faintests of blips every 5 - 10 seconds, just what seems like a rise. Anyone else get this cos cars nearly out of warrenty so ill get it checked if its a problem, its a may 06 2.0tfsi, cheers for the replys.:D

Probably nothing more than an adjustment to the fuel/air mix being made by the ECU. Does it do it when engine is fully warmed up or when cold after starting?

What happens if you give the engine a blip on the throttle? Does it settle down after to smooth running?

I've driven several Fabia 1.4 mpi with the same symptoms; a quick 'blip' on the throttle generally settles the tickover down.

It's a feature of the engine... not the smoothest on tick over or when started up.

Mines a May 06.... and I've got a good 13 months worth of warrenty left
