2005 VRs

Featured Replies

Hi all, u may see in my newbie post that im looking at VRs's, needing to know wot to look out for, the cars ive been looking at have all been under 40k miles and have absolutely smashin bodywork.

Ive still not drove one yet as the places ive went to only let you out in the passenger seat (Very good, get a test drive in the car your wanting to buy but you dont get to drive it until you buy it lol)

Few Questions ide like you to answer on a personal note, so if you dont mind taking the time out to do it please

1. Comfortable to drive short and long distances

2. Space, i.e boot space, head height for big people Etc.

3. Any faults and how reliable is it

4. Any common problems with the VRs

5. How many miles do you normal get out of a full tank

. Always on boost

. Driving like your on your driving test lol

Please guys and girls if you could take a wee sec to answer my questions ide be very grateful

the car is very comfortable to drive plenty of room for tall peeps boot space is not massive but not little.

very good on fuel when u dont boot it 50-55 mpg 460 to a tank and whe u thrash it u should get around 40-42mpg 400to a tank.

the problems are anti roll bar bushes so listen for any knocking .

and some of the turbo are rubish depends on year .

but always found mine to be very reliable and mines an 05 car but its usually look of the draw .

just get one u will not be disaponted:thumbup:

1. I find it very comfortable to drive, some complain about the seats but I personally think theyre brilliant. Try to get one with cruise control if you do a lot of long journeys as it costs about £200 to fit aftermarket.

2. Boot space is decent if not amazing, plenty of head height. Rear can be a bit cramped for width.

3. Common faults are anti roll bar links and leaking doors.

5. I get around 42mpg according to the trip when booting it and 55 if I drive relatively sensibly. Highest I've had on a 40 mile journey is 57mpg
