Could someone with twin electrics on a Scout help me with these questions?

When connected to the caravan should the rear parking sensors and rear foglights on the car be de-activated? Also is there any way to tell if the Trailer Stabilisation facility is working? Can Maxidot help with any of this?

Is the towbar the genuine skoda accessory or is it an after market product?

It's a genuine Skoda accessory fitted to the car when new (1st March this year).

It should de-activate the parking sensors, not sure about the fog light though.

I don't think the maxi dot has any display features for the tow bar.

You will need to use Vag Com to disble the Fog Lights when the trailer is connected. Its in the long coding.

Trailer stabilisation is enabled when the trailer is connected. there is a block in the ABS module you can see using VAGcom.

Seems to work when towing my van as the traction control light flicks sometimes when a bus overtakes.
