Warning

Featured Replies

I got sent through from a comparison site to this lot:

http://www.softwaredealsdirect.com

The prices seemed too good to be true on reflection but the site acted very weird after purchase so I have had to cancel the CC.

The bank said their showing the verified by visa but not using it is not a good sign.

Anyway the warning is don't use them as something isn't right, but that is just my opinion.

I'm personally kicking myself. :mad::(

You were wise to cancel the transaction judging by these posts:

WARNING! - Citrix Guide Forums

No contact telephone number on the site is enough for me not to buy from them.

Either a straight scam or dodgy software.

We all lapse on occasions

Anyone paid for a "premium" copy of Limewire lately?

Bugger that I didn't find that first link when googling them :(

Gets me however that equifax give them a signed certificate :(

I'm sufficiently sceptical as were the bank, that they killed the credit card rather than just the transaction.

Anyone can get a signed cert for any website, all you need is the cash. As the saying goes, if it looks to cheap to be true then its usually something dodgy.

I know that and have bought a few, it just annoys me that as for me there are no checks at all in the system and nothing to see that it was even slightly legit before granting the cert.

As long as you give them their money they don't give a toss.

I got to it through a comparison site, but they are now no longer appearing in the site after a couple of mails.
