Greenlight dont insure Skodas ??

Featured Replies

Just called Greenlight to transfer my policy from the Ibiza to the Octavia to be told they dont insure skodas as they have high claim rates!!

WTF are they serious ?? Ive asked for a manager to call me back.. Ive been with them for a couple of years and everyone on cupranet loves them..

Ill be posting later on cupranet to let them know how infact they arent actually much use if anyones thinking about a skoda!!

So are there any companies that might do me a good deal ?

Cheers

Dan

Fabia + speed - skill = roof :)

Yep, seems Greenlight won't touch vRS models at all :(

Shame really. I think its mostly because of people putting Fabias on thier roofs a while ago ;)

That sounsds like an Insurance company that never wants to pay up selecting the customer is discrimination doing it by cars is worse, If I was Skoda I would be asking for an explanation,

Nah, sod them its their loss tbh. Pretty poor way of doing business though imho.

Well surely if they take all the accidents into consideration, they'll hardly be insuring anything.

Everyone has a bump in there time, this is just stupid. If anything they should increase there prices for different models, avoiding discrimination.

If anyone could be bothered with the hassle and ££, I would deffo say to them to take them to the regulator. Or is it just upto the insurance company??

Try Chris Knott - they were spot on for me, Mention Briskoda and you get a bit more discount

They're a business not the government. If skodas cost them a bomb in accident repairs then fair enough they won't insure them. Whats the problem ?

You could always try Brentacre - they beat my Chris Knott renewal by about 20%

I was refused insurance from greenlight a few weeks back

ended up going with adrian flux who were the same price as chris knott

On the general insurance front

The goverment have made it a legal requirement so they should provide the insurance, not leave it in the hands of private companies

I thought this was the Fabia VRS and not the Octavia?

Octy's are much higher group insurance (16) but the Fabia is only 8 IIRC?

Probably loads and loads of young whipper snappers with the Fabs as the insurance group was/is quite low!

  • 1 month later...

Skoda will insure mods if they are asked I asked how much if I went for eibachs and koni fsd's they said 10% extra which I didnt think was bad. I havent had the mods though all the reviews are a bit conflicting to be honest plus I thought is it going to make it hard to sell the car at a later date.

There fore every insurance company MUST insure fabias ??? LOFL :rofl::rofl::rofl:

No they must ensure fabias are kept off the road ;)

Octy II vRS TFSi is group 15 :) speaking of whipper snappers, i've only just turned 21, insurance is a killer
