been over to the island for the the weekend ,last minute decision,got ticket off eBay etc.

had a fantastic time,bikes,racing and loads of beer!!!!!!

weather was great a bit of fog on the mountain on Mad Sunday,quite a few trips over the mountain section i have to admit.

anyone whos thought of going over go its brilliant,my 6th year now.

I've been quite a few times to the TT in Holland and always enjoyed that.

Without wanting to put a downer on things...

Found out today that someone I know was unfortunately killed in an accident on Saturday at Barregarrow, near Kirk Micheal. Don't know the details of the accident other than he was 'in collision with a heavy goods vehicle'. I can't imagine he stood a chance.

The TT is a fantastic event, but sometimes highlights how easily things can go wrong, not just at the TT, but anywhere.

Ray was 58, went to the TT every year and had bucket loads of riding experience. In the end, none of this mattered.

Whether you ride a bike or not, take care out there, doing anything else is just not worth it.

Nice one WrightyRS returned from the island myself monday evening. Saw most of practice week and the Formula 1 race, awesome speed 127mph average lap speed from a standing start by John McGuiness (new lap record to boot).

Did you get to see the purple helmets at Peel on Sunday afternoon and the streetfighter wheelie boys in Douglas on friday and sunday night.

IOM is a quality place.

Personally I've given the TT a miss this year for the first time in 14 years.

I'll still be over there this year though visiting my family over there.

was a sight to behold i have to admit never seen so many bikes waiting to go and the noise was amazing.

i heard about the accident aswell it was on the radio,very sorry to hear about your friend.

up to monday evening 8 people had been involved in fatals.one racer from what i heard also,a French guy,his first time on the island and he only got 3miles,Crosby i think.

saw 2 accidents myself i have to admit,and got stuck on the mountain on mad sunday at approx 7pm.2 guys had gone over the edge is what i heard.
