Pressure Washer

Featured Replies

Ok guys my lucky last 3rd styling & car care question of the day!!!!! :D

I'm finally tempted to get a pressure washer and have seen THIS one that says it comes with a seperate reservoir for detergent.

Me being a complete pressure washer numpty does that mean i wouldn't need a snow foam lance??? Would i just put the snow foam in the reservoir and use the normal lance or would a snow foam lance give better results???

Also just to settle my nerves these things don't strip off the wax / polish etc... do they?????

I ask as i'm the unlucky sod who got the call from a dealer to say my old car had been damaged while it was with them only to find while they were pressure washing it the jet had caught an area of loose paint on the bumper's bump strip and pulled a patch off!!!! They paid to have it resprayed etc.... But it's why i always ask for my cars not to be washed by dealers now!!!

Cheers

Dave.

The built in reservoir will be pathetic compared to a foam lance.

So it might be worth looking at the one's a little lower priced that don't have it then..... It does have variable pressure though which i assume is handy???

Also Gilly what do you think to my edited original post.... i.e. the extra last paragraph.:thumbup::thumbup:

Variable pressure is good.

You can strip paint off a motor with a sharp jet from a pressure washer. It is fortunately these days unusual but still possible.

A normal fan spray will not remove polish/wax, it will simply remove dirt.

We have a simillar washer, but dont use the detergent pickup. To this day thats still empty, I prefer the foam lance we have got extra.

Unforunately you have missed last Sundays Aldi special. I had a look and their pressure washers appear to be rebadged Karchers with the same bayonet fitting.

Posiibly still worth a look though.

Loads of these machines at Aldi in Banbury and it's a much better spec than the Karcher one you have suggested................and it's cheaper...............
