Real / Actual Prices for Fabia vrS

Featured Replies

Hi there, am looking at possibly changing my Fabia and was wondering if anyone on here could give me real / actual values that these cars are trading/selling for just now.

Mine is a 2005 (05) red 40k miles, just had its first MOT and is totally unmodified.

Now Glass's guide via Vauxhall web is showing between 5590 and 6970 as a trade in price depending on condition. A dealer offered me £6500 yesterday. But then I see some of these (allegedly) retailing at up to £8500 - £9k on the Skoda website.

Now I know these can then be discounted, depends on trade ins etc etc but there seems to be a huge discrepancy. Even checking completed listings on Ebay is hard as not too many of them seem to sell on there!

Anyone either bought ot traded a vrS of similar age to mine willing to let me know how much they got / cost them ?

SWMBO bought one of a similar age recently.

I will point her in your direction.

I have just bought a black 54 plate with 32000 miles for £7500.

TBH, that sounds about right.

£6500 + £1k for the dealer + £1k to knock off the value of the car as part of the sales process = £8500 on the screen.

My 55 plate with 57k on the clock went in for £7400 and came out for £9299 7 months ago.

That sounds very high!!! I bought a 55 plate from a dealer with 22K for £9.4K and it had Zenons, heated seats and cruise. I am certain these extras really help the value.

Bought mine in January. 55 plate, 22,000, xenons, new tyres all round. £9000. I also managed to get my headunit wired in within the price. Oh, and that's with the inflated Corninsh prices so up-country it would have been around £8300-8500

 I bought mine 6 weeks ago for £7395 through Autotrader (private sale) so it was considerably cheaper than the ones we'd seen at dealers. It is pretty similar to yours although only had 24k miles on the clock.

Thanks for all the input so far. Looks like its a choice of £6500 trade in or about £7k to sell it privately?

There was a 54 plate Red Vrs with 19K on it at a local (not Skoda) dealer recently for £7495.

got a black 54 reg vrs with 17.5k, FSH, cruise, 6 disc changer and sunset glass for £8995

i think your trade in value is about right tbh. you would get more private, but do you want the hassle?

your also forgetting about prep costs, warranty costs, servicing, valet, fuel etc etc. soon that 1k for the dealer becomes a few hundred quid!

i mean have you seen diesel prices recently lol!!

Got my Bog-basic vRS on a 54 with 54,000 miles from an independent dealer for £7,600 in December. Was up fr £7995.
