Service indicator blues

Featured Replies

Puzzlingly my 2004 Octavia Elegance (TDI 130) does not reset the service interval indicator with the procedure described in a BRISKODA thread, i.e., pushing the trip reset then switching on the ignition, then letting go of the reset, then turning the reset to select the required interval. I have tried several times without success.

Has anyone any idea how to get rid of this 'Service' message? Re-setting the trip meter or merely waiting X seconds after the ignition has been switched on causes it to disappear but I resent being informed that a service is due when it isn't! Cheers.
