new to the vrs...

Featured Replies

Hi there

Im looking at buying a Fabia VRS this week, got my test drive booked on wednesday. Anything I should be looking for? Been offered the car at £7500, its a red 53 plate on 42k from a dealer, so includes 12 months warrentee. Will have 2 new tyres and a cam belt + service. Is this fairly reasonable??

Its okay from a dealer i supose but if you bought private you'd get it at least a grand cheaper.

The fact there doing the cambelt is good along with a service, and make sure they put some decent tires on it (they conned me with some Kleber muck)

I paid £7,300 from a dealer for and 04 black rs, just seriviced and mot'd

with extra such as cruise, heated seats, was remapped, had pd160

at 37k miles 5 months ago

if i was to buy it (which i very much want too!) how much money do you think i'd lose over the course of a year if i stick another 15k on it?

Not a huge amount, they seem to keep the price quite well, i have been quoted between £6,000 to £6,500 for my 54 plate fabia vrs with 60k on.

just buy it, don't worry about the depreciation, it's a hell of a good car.

Well seeing how much they've dropped since i bought mines i'd say you'd prob have dropped below 6k in a year
