Got my Tuning box today, all sound , basically im abit confused with the instructions, plugging into in by the fuel pump is easy enough, but theres a red wire which comes out of the box which you connect to one of the MAF meter wires, it has a connecor on which basically cuts into the wire so it piggy backs off the wire.

Just abit confused to where the wire is, heres what is says on the instructions:

Find wiring loom to the airflow meter (located on right hand side near wiper bulkhead on bora)

Open wiring loom covering sleeve and find the wire to pin number 5 (black wire on bora)

Any idea where exactly this is on the ocatvia people?? :confused:

nope this is a higher end tuning box, a raid hp one i had was the same, yeah the wire will go to the black wire on the airflow meter next to the airbox, just strip back the connector it unclips quite easily then you should see it, it also should be numbered, hope this helps

I thought red and black go to the battery on digital boxes? Obviously something different.

It uses the octavia as an example but just mentions that it is a straight plug in.

yeah thats the one i had for a while ill try and get you a pic mate for the location

the back bit of the connector will have two little clips on the side which once unclipped will allow the cover the be pulled off to reveal the wires

cool, thanks mate, so if i unplug the maf meter, i connect the red wire to one of those, it says the black one, but there all black if i remember correctly. It also relates to wire no5 in the instructions, but arnt there just 4 :S

Not very good with this wiring thing as you can tell, just annoying as its on my floor starring at me lol.

cracked it today, got the thing installed and all neatly tucked away, what can i say!!! set the box at 75%, floor it in 2-3rd, the torque is amazing, not much black smoke either which is a good sign.

Really am pleased with it, defentialy feals like its running at 130bhp atleast. Pipercross panel filter next me thinks.

How much was it , out of interest?

i got it off a bri skodian was under £100, but i think the better ones retail for around 200-300 notes, however theres a german seller on ebay which offers one new for £90 delivered which he claims adds 38bhp.
