Well, having had the car 1 month i decided it was time for some mods.

Mods so far:

18" Kie force 10 gunmetal alloy wheels.

Colour coded the badges and re-badged the rear of the car.

Painted the calipers red.

Put on a custom 'long life' exhaust' cat back with high flow sport cat (Sound clip below)

Smoked the side repeators.

Mods to come:

I am buying new rear LED lights that are all black with smoked lenses.

I am smoking the rear reflectors this weekend.

Tints next year on all windows, same ahade all around.

Front and rear anti roll bars.

I will be putting in a short ram intake in 4 weeks.

I am expecting the car to be running at approx 280 BHP and 340lbs/torque.

cheers guys, the wheels make all the difference! Small tweeks to the exterior really can make a poo car look good and a good car look great. VRS showed me that!

It moves like stinc, great fun to drive.

Car looks fantastic. Not a fan of the Burberry numberplates though.

They do look a nice car with the aero kit on, may consider one in the future when the prices drop a little.

can pick up a mica black 2007 with 17k on it for 13 grand or a red/silver with 8k on the clock for 13k, you know you want one...hehe

I was sat in one in the dealers today, I much prefer the interior to the Focus :thumbup:

Saw a well sorted one flying around the Ring last weekend. :D

Yeah they fly! Beat a brand new audi tt 3.2 quattro the other day from 70 to 130 ish to his disappointment.

I love the wheels, unfortunately when you curb them they are white underneath...shocker!!!! Seats are really c omfortable, really snug and hold you in well. Mum has a mx5, even the new one is a womens car imo, butched up but not enough.

Not an MX5... the Mazda 5... :eek::(

Theres a nice cosmic blue one with the aero kit for 14k thats done 9k miles..... hmmmmm tempted :rofl:

What are they like in the real world on fuel? I consider anything above 25mpg average to be good ;)

If you think 25 MPG is ok then this is up there....just! I get 31MPG on a motorway 80-90MPH with the occasional blast. 27 combined and approx 24MPG around town. Better than i was expecting. Sites state 0-60 in 5.9 seconds but standard un-modified ones have done it in 5.5 seconds proven and tested and all that. It is mental. I am putting in a SRI soon and hope to be pushing 280-285BHP. Need to slap it on a rolling road really.

You can get a silver/red one for £13k - £14k with 3k on the clock if you look hard enough and can be patient!
