Featured Replies

my sdi classic (yip it's a taxi :P ) had a test last week and it faild on these items.

brake servo pipe cracked,

both c.v. boots split

o/s wish bone bush split,

also the o/s c.v joint was clicking aswell

took the car back to a local dealer and they said it was all wear and tear and none of it was covered under warranty,

the cars a 51 plate and is still under warranty till september.

they charaged me for replacing the servo pipe, the rest of the work we done our selfs.

so is the dealer right, are they all wear and tear???

cheers

I assume that your car is on the 3 year unlimited mileage warranty like my 02 reg. What mileage have you done?

How the hell you get wear and tear on a servo pipe is beyond me

Wishbone bushes have been replaced in the past under warranty, IIRC.

CV boot and CV joint, not sure on those, they could be right.

yeah it's on a 3 yr unlimited warranty, it's a 51 and 94k on the clock.

i've had a door lock changed under warranty on this car, i would have thought that would be down tho ware and tear

i've kind of fellout with the dealer as my dads vrs has a warrenty issue today aswell (i'ii put a post up on that one shortly)

we asked another dealer about the warranty they wouldn't have changed the bushes or the c.v boots but they would have changed the c.v. joint under waranty, suppose it depends on what dealer you use.

when i brought my 03 reg and 53 reg sdi they only have a 2 yr warranty now.
