If you have a drill with a cone bit then you can do it yourself easily mate.

I did them myself and took me about an hour and half to do.

The proper kit comes with instructions on how to fit them as well so no worries there

I could pick up a drill bit if needed..

Where can i get the proper kit from then ? Not ebay i presume

I bought a Wireless kit off Ebay, very good and easy to fit - the sensors are powered from the reversing lights and you can place the receiver wherever you like without having to run wires the whole length of the car.

My kit came with 4 sensors and the correct size hole saw/drill.

Lots on Ebay and much cheaper than Skoda - and you can get them already painted

I bought the official Skoda park distance control kits for my Octavia and Fabia on eBay. They don't come up all that often and are considerably cheaper than the dealer price. hootiemcboob1969 is the seller I used.

Now i really love the idea of not having to run any cables through so had a look at these..

They seem really good bits of kit but im really not liking the distance indicator/monitor type things that you have to have plugged into the cigarette lighter.. I emailed one guy and asked if the beeps work without this plugged in but no because the screen thing acts as the wireless reciever :s

Not particularly and you get to see parts of the car you would't otherwise see.

Mate its easy enough as all you have to do is run a cable from the boot to the B pillar for the speaker.

You dont have to remove the trim as you can just prise it open and stuff the wire in like i did so its easy enough

I bought some from EBay around 25 quid I think. They were already painted silver and came with a kit and all the bits to fit including drill. The hardest part was measuring up squarely. The rest was a dodle. Took around 45 min. No wires to route to the front. All done in the boot. Only 2 wires . One to earth and one to revesring light. Heres a pic.

Or are they the wireless ones that wont work without a chunky controller unit attached to the cigarette lighter ?

Halfrauds fit reverse sensors, paint them aswell.

Kits from ebay to tend to be cheaper but you can get Veba ones (a better brand) from many motor factors for around £50.

Easy to fit.

*4 sensor wires to a ECU

*Buzzer connected to ECU

*Live feed from reverse light and ground to ECU

All you need is an entry between bumper and boot and a place to hide the ECU (possibly ty wraped behind the light cluster, but the waterproof side of the seal).

The buzzer may be loud enough to hear from within the boot so no need to place on the B-pillar and hide the cable.

Only 2 wires that you need to wire in to your existing loom, one to reverse wire and one to ground. The sensor wires all plug in to the module that comes with the kit. The module can be hidden behind the boot rear panel lining. The bleeper also plugs into the module. so that is it. Yes the kits are cheaper on EBay but still work as effective.
