Hi All.

So i'm deciding whether to give up the Astra i've been given as a fully expensed company car (as it's too uncomfortable) and go for an Octavia (which I used to have in my previous job and I found to be very comfortable).

Thing is, I have an allowance given by my company of 250 pm so i'm limited in how much I can pay for an octavia:(

I reckon on £8000 over a 4 year period wouold be okay, but seeing as how i'll be doing 30,000 miles a year, it needs to be able to do 120,000 not including whatever mileage it already has on it!

So, am I on a fools errand or would an Octavia be able to do about 170,000 miles (that's working on the assumption that I can find one with under 50,000 miles on it).

another things to take into consideration is that i'd prefer it to be a Diesel model, preferably the 1.9.

Any suggestions??

300,000 mile Octavia diesels aren't uncommon. An Octavia would be perfect for what you need and have to spend.
