Hello! New Octy vrs owner

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals,

Been a member for a few weeks now, thought its about time I say Hi! My first Skoda and i'm very impressed and enjoying her alot.

Bought her for a very reasonable price with 6 months warranty. Being an excop car is has a few battle scars and stone chips, but nothing which I couldn't mask or hide with abit of elbow grease. Mechanically she drive's fantastic considering its got 111k on the clock :)

No plans major mods planned at the moment, getting some number plates made, needs an aerial fitting, some new mats and a good clean inside! Maybe bebadge it and spray the front grill black or colour code it, I hate chrome , also need a new windscreen as there is a million tiny stone chips which is annoying.

Anyways a few pics I snapped a week or two ago after I gave it a good wash.

Welcome, even if you've been around for a couple of weeks :)

Like the car - hope it gives you a lot of fun

Looks very well for the mileage. Welcome to the site.

Welcome. Paintwork looks really good :)

Thanks for the compliments guys. I was very surprised how well it pulls considering its not exactly a light car, would love to have it remapped, but I doubt i'll have it done anytime soon.

The paintwork is ok, alot of scratches. It took a while also to get the paint smooth, alot of washing, claying and polish and it turned out half decent. But I think it could do with a professional detail and maybe a bonnet respray.

welcome to briskoda

Nice looking Octavia mate.

welcome to briskoda.....

ex-cop cars are usually very well maintained, so shouldn't seem like over 100k ;)

swmbo has about £5k to spend on a car in june, and I'm in the process of trying to talk her into an ex-police octy vRS ;) (or indeed a 4WD 1.8t, then a few choice mods...)

Welcome mate, that's a very clean looking example to say it's got 111k on the clock

I was abit sceptical buying an ex-cop car but i'm glad I did now. 5k could buy alot of car and mods, get it done!:D

well I'll be keeping the fiat ;) it will be swmbo's car, but we'll come to the meets in it!

as long as I don't have to deal with skoda garages or their CS department I'll be happy
