Fabia bonnet struts. Help please

Featured Replies

Right guys, Ive got 2 small gas struts from my mate, ther quite powefull too and want to fit them to obviously lift and hold the bonnet

They already have the ball on each end, with threads on.

Any advice on fitment/postion if people have done it before??

Thinking of a L bracket on each end

Regards

Sy

Mr devon...... username devonutopia sells them on ebay so give him a pm and he will tell you

Make sure they aint to strong or you will be bending the bonnet.

Dont think they would. I can compress them with my hands.

Yeah Ive seen what Jason sells but that would be a bit cheeky to rob his mounting template, heehee

Not to buy one though. You can use your own boot strut if you want, and I'll knock the equivalent off the price. ;)

PS: You only need one boot strut on one side. It's tough!

The ones Ive got hold of are smaller than the ones you sell so might need 2

Any how much would that be?

You said they're quite powerful so one alone might do it.

Tenner off normal price.

I'll have to try one. Says 100N/30 one the side

At least I know what Im doing at work tomorro :D

the furby boot strut has no rating on the side of it, but as a guide you should be able to put your full weight on it, and it won't compress. The only way I can compress these struts is once they're fitted to a car. :)
