the only thing that makes me wanna claim is that i no the robbing insurers wont pay me what my car worth. mint octavia vrs 03plate full dealer history 60k not 1 mark on it all original i would get at least 5grand private but no ing what insurers are like ill get bottom book which will be about 3500-4000.has anyone been in a leon cupra r? are they much quicker than vrs or ya reckon i should look out for another octavia?

Not necessarily. My mum wrote her car off last Summer, and when the insewerer's valuation came through both I and the supplying dealer told her to take the offer before they got a chance to change their mind!

Yeah there a diff for "claiming for everything" and genuine claims.

If you did get injured because of the crash and you need to take time off work, disrupt your life etc then claiming is necesssary cause I doubt she'd share your view if the roles were reversed.

If you've had a heavy enough front-ender to put the airbags out then I doubt it will be repaired, but IF it is, it will not be HPi recorded. If your insurance company write's it off then it will be classified, but it won't affect you as you will have the cash insteadl.

I hope you get things sorted one way or another. I agree about the 'where there's blame there's a claim' attitude... What ever happened to accidents?!.... But, if you're going to be out of pocket due to somebody elses mistake then I think it's perfectly reasonable to make a claim.

just laugh at them!! its what i do, and if they insist on following you go find a nice safe place to put your foot down and then dissapeer. i admit this isnt the most sensible option and not particularly easy in city centres.

if you now have the chance you could look at the LCR little bit more lairy or an S3 subtle and very quick and composed cross country.

Depending on mood and safety of doing so, I either ignore them or smoke them too.
