At 40mph the car probably is a write off now due to the low value of the car now. I take it you werent hurt which is the most important thing. Did you take any pics of the damage?

Darren

sorry to hear you bad luck!

hope everything gets soughted out asap and you can find another one

oh dear! hope your claim goes through okay and you get a good price.

Not good. At least you're not hurt (I assume!)

what an inconsiderate MOO!

Id be well p155ed!

If any of the guys so much as rub their finger on my car they get a b0lloch1in!

Hope you ok mate and you get your insurance, wont be the same if the car gets fixed, she will never feel the same.

good luck mate.

Sorry to hear about that and i hope all goes well with everything:thumbup:

Sorry to hear it.

Hope the insurance gives you the amount your expecting.

Has she admitted fault yet?

I assume you "WILL" also be submitting a claim for whiplash etc?

Sorry to hear, but glad there were no injuries to either party.

unfortunately 'looked but didn't see' is one of the biggest causes of crashes on the road.

did the airbags go off, if not you have a much better chance of getting the car rebuilt, indeed in theory since it isn't your fault you should not be out of pocket at all, the value of the car is irrelevant - it should be rebuilt or replaced.

start collecting evidence of prices for the fight.

AaahhhhhGGGGGG SMIDL!!!

Gutted for you mate, hope you get it sorted sharpish

Bummer. Hope you're OK.

Must be the cloaking device fitted to red Octys. If anyone knows where the off switch is I'll be V V V happy.

sorry to here, the important thing is that your ok. any pictures so we may be able to assess the damage? probably will be a economic right off as said due to the value though.

if your deciding on new cars i always think its an excuse to move on and try something new if you can.

thanks for eveyones kind words. only injurys are burn to arm from air bag and kneck and back aching but more bothered bout car. few people said i should claim but dont no if its worth the trouble dont really wanna join the "claim for everything brigade" but ill see what happens. i hope my car is write off now because i dont want my pride and joy back as a cat c/d? and itll never be the same again

There's a difference between claiming for invented injuries and getting a fair amount of compensation when you are genuinely hurt through no fault of your own.

Get your claim in now. I would.

oh 1 more thing yes air bags did go off and passenger door was v.difficult to open so i hope its wrote off like i said it wont be the same again and it was pure mint best 5yr old car iv seen

That sounds more and more like a write off if the shell was deformed.

Best rid of it in that situation anyway - it'll never be right again

it was her fault without even .01 percent blame on me fortunatley she even told police it were her fault and i had 2 witnesses.it just seems the norm to claim if any sign of injury which 10 yr ago was almost unheard of. saying that i hit someone from back about 5yr ago and without exhagerating i was doin no more than 10mph and they claimed whiplash so it makes me feel like doing the same and mine is genuine!

I was rear-ended fairly heavily about 4 years back and I claimed.

I was fine when I kept moving but when I sat still for too long , or more importantly , tried to get some sleep , my neck got very stiff and painful.

This lasted about a week and I got about 600 quid IIRC.

I wasn't taking the **** and didn't haggle over the settlement figure but I wasn't going to turn down the money either.

sorry to hear mate if it was me i would put a clame in because if you have an injury why not clame if you done it to her (which you never) would she clame i think so just think of all the time and effort you put in to that car and she has distroyed it in one second of stupidty go for it mate you have nothink to loose she probally has protected no claimes so it would'nt effect her
