Remap Mpg

Featured Replies

HiI am looking at getting my vrs remaped by angel tuning next month. i have been looking at all the remap threads using the search but i cannot seem to find what i am looking for. What i am wondering is, how is the mpg affected when doing long distance motorway trips and does anybody know what sort of increse/decrease i will hope to get?I enjoy the country lane drives so thats what the remap is for.Just a thanks for all the info that has been posted previosly, i use the search too loads on briskoda.

On my revo re-mapped (175BHP) VRS i was getting 44-47MPG on a mixed run with mainly motorway driving. However, on a motorway run driving sensibly managed 52MPG!!!!! Why angel tuning and not Jabba sport or revo? out of curiosity...

Here are my figures, as you can see, once I got over the initial novelty of the extra power, my mpg doesn't appear to have been affected. On a motorway run I can get about 60mpg indicated so in reality 52-55mpg.

46.79

45.86

48.41

46.4

47.09

41.34

41.94

43.94

49.93

48.66

49.96

48.07

47.34

48.44

47.83

48.40

43.52

42.25 - Engine Remapped

47.00

48.71

53.18 - Long run about 350miles (motorway), 100miles town

48.17

50.85

48.20

49.71

Edit - these figures are all brim to brim with a mixture of town driving and motorway

if you enjoy the country lanes like me, mpg is likely to decrease.

I've found that the bigger your smile, the lower the mpg:P

On the longer motorway runs, your mpg may increase a bit.

I get around 42 mpg with a star map.

Thats 16-20 mile journeys on an a and b roads. also some town driving at 65-70 mph (yes i am naughty)

If i be good i get 50mpg +

i chose angel tuning as a couple of mates have had their leon's done by them. also i live in deepest darkest south west wales and they will come to my work to do it. I am also getting a discount because there are 4 cars getting done in the same car park that day.

Im interested in havin my fabia 1.9TDI remapped very soon... 100% u interested in a group deal>think we'd have to get ova 5 people tho pm me

Edit your phone number off!!!

It could cause you bother.

PM phone numbers.

I had mine done by Angel Tuning and MPG dropped by about 1-2 MPG.

I do a lot of motorway and A roads driving from Swansea to Pembroke a lot.

I worked the MPG out myself as the computer lied, and I always get 44-45 MPG on every tank, and thats not hanging about.

Before the remap I got 45-47 MPG on the same trips.

I have an Angel Tuning remap and noticed on a 30 mile round trip yesterday i got 53.9 mpg and wasnt going like a granny either, just driving fairly easy as i had the bike on the back.

I would also be interested in an angel tuning group buy remap I am from south wales

Not much point in telling you what my MPG is because we all drive on different roads. All i can say is that i've noticed an increase in fuel consumption as i am using the extra power. If i don't use the extra power it's about the same as before.

Jabba map - 50mpg on a mixed run back from them with the new FSDs :D

Angels mobile tuning guy said that they would only be able to cope with the four cars for that one day. but they are pritty good if you get even a couple of cars at the same time done.

Im tempted but afraid for my clutch.. cant afford a new one if it goes.

Buy a clutch, then get it remapped.

Clutch is only thing slopping you from getting that bit more torque, and torque = smiles.

Approx. 48 - 52mpg on A road / motorway runs at around 70 - 80mph.

Sit at 60mph & I see approx. 60mpg.

no bloody idea how your managing that mate, mine mapped by the same tuning gods spans from 14.8 mpg to 46 ish on the odd occasion when drive gently;)

I seem to get more MPG when driving like a granny, but when i drive like a nutter it def drops more than before the map!

I can get the trip to read 72MPG on a 15 mile trip to work but its prob more like 60-65MPG.

I have seen my mpg increase by about 2mpg since my remap last August from about 58 to 60mpg in the warmer weather - now 54mpg overall average in the last 18 months.

would a re-map effect my warrenty atall does anyone know.?

how much would a decent remap cost.?

and who is the best to go with.?

I have a ChippedUK remap and a PD160 intake - Drivin' Miss Daisy gives me 65mpg average over the past 5 tanks
