Well... can somebody tell me what Incorrectly Coded Means, and how to correct this problem?!? I want everything in my car to be OK

Working with the first problem a similar label file gives -

C01,000?x: Additional Functions

C02,+1 = ABS

C03,+2 = Airbag

C04,+4 = Air Conditioning

C05,000x?: Transmission

C06,1 = Manual Transmission

C07,3 = Automatic Transmission

You have 00041 indicating Air Conditioning and Manual Gearbox - It does not indicate Air Bag and ABS which you may have.

Looking at the second problem, the lable file gives -

C01,+00001 = Automatic Transmission (through MY 2001 and all PQ24 | Polo/Fabia/Ibiza/Cordoba)

C02,+00002 = Brake Electronics

C03,+00004 = Airbags

C04,+00008 = Steering Aid (only PQ24 | Polo/Fabia/Ibiza/Cordoba)

C05,+00016 = All-Wheel-Drive (only Transporter/Multivan)

You have 00008 which is Power steering and again omits the ABS and Airbag.

Can you work out number 3?? :P

heheheh I think so.. ;)

I now see what the guys from skoda were doing before races, and maybe know why my warning lights for abs and air bag are not on when there are errors ;)

I'll try now to recode end put everything to original

Grrr I was thinkig it will be easy recoding controlers... and maybe it is but when you know what to do :o. So VRStu can you help me a little more... it seems i have to learn a lot...

What is it you cannot do?

What is it you cannot do?

Well trying to recode 01 controller -> 07 Coding, and according to label files entering code 01241, the Do It! and the soft. code is still 00041

Do you have the engine running? It must not be.

Are you sure you are entering the right code? Does VAG-COM have a label file for you?

for the engine i dont have label file, im entering 01241 code, but im not sure that is correct. i've tried to recode and the 09 controller.. the same problem. for boardnetz i have label file and tried accordin to it to calculate the code, still the old numer is displayed.

i have managed to recode the boardnetz but the error is still there

These were valid codes back in 2001.

00061 petrol engine and air con

00071 petrol engine ABS and air con

00005 diesel engine and air con

00006 diesel engine air con and ABS

That is the wrong code -

You will need 00071 if you have ABS, AirBag and Air Conditioning. 00031 if you don't have Air Conditioning.

The numbers are added in the position if the ?

Edit - Beat me to it!!

Thanks guys :)

Most of the errors have been cleared, only in the engine is still active. I have entered 00071 but still incorrectly coded.

Now when I turn the ignition on my ABS light is testing, and the airbag light is on (still dont have the front airbags) :P

Im happy now, step by step im learning to care for may car

Perhaps if you post up a full scan we can help with the rest.

Try taking 20 off so that 00071 becomes 00051.

Thanks man! the 00061 done the job!

I hope some day to be close to your level of knowledge. I'll do my best

lol - Wasn't me who came up with the 00061. fordfan is your man.

Thanks Stu, I just posted a bit of information, you are the brains to get it working.

  • Author

Sorry for my mistake, and thanks fordfan :)

Strange things happens with my car... when I entered code 00061 the faults memory was clear and I go out from the workshop with the car to test if my cruise control is working.. well c.c. wasn't working. I have installed it step by step reading the instructions that came with the switch, and activated it logging in by code 11463. Maybe I've done somewhere something wrong but the c.c. is not working. Before leaving the car at the workshop I checked errors in ECM and the incorrectly coded error was present. Tried with 00071 and then 00061, but the error is active...

Another thing that I don't know is normal: when reading info from my ECM the VIN of car i showed with XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Could it be something the skoda guys done with the ECM so the can easy change it before every race?

If the VIN reads XXXXXXX then I would think that means it isn't linked to the dashpod correctly, that could be an indication that the immobilisor has been defeated.

Was the Cruise Control working before you changed the code, I remember you were having problems with the wiring to the pedal switch.

The G means that the ECU is correctly coded for Cruise Control - Component: MARELLI 4LV G 3086

Reading Instrument Cluster Parameters (I think) I saw that key recognition or something simmilar was disabled. I was thinkig to try to remove the immo from the key to test shoud it work, but they I decided to not do it. Now I'm almost sure that the skoda technicians does it, because when we were racing, before every race we have to change the ecu with one kept in skoda between events. I have to find the number of that guys to ask them what have they done.

About the CC, it never worked. When switch came, the gearbox was dismounted to change the diferential so the car was unmovable :o. Then I was waiting for CAN inteface to be delivered, and yesterday I managed to test it. The strange think when I was mounting cables for CC was that the white cable that going to pin 10 and thet to ECM was there. Maybe sometimes there was a CC mounted. Also I think the "G" was there before logging in to ECM with the code for activation. In Central Conv. controller when Im reading parameters, all CC params are N/A. There is power to CC throgh the break pedal switch and the brown connector is connected. I think and the break predal switch works fine, there are no errors.

  • Author

I have double checked everything about the cruise control. The power is ok.. when i switch the cc on power goes to white cable (pin 76 on ECM) and on two of cables on brown connector. when i pres + power goes to one of las two cables when - pressed power goes to other cable. I think everything is connected how it should it be. but when reading params in VAG-COM..

21152.attach

also when is set switch to ON no indication on instrument cluster

any ideas?

You don't get an indication on the Fabia cluster.

I'm afraid I'm all out of ideas with your CC at the moment - There is no telling what has been done to the wiring.

Is it possible that my Centr. Electr. controler don't support cruise control? In label file is said that Group 009 is Cruise Control System (CCS), but when I open Group 009 I get message ERROR: Group 009 Not Available

At Skoda Spare Parts Shop checked in their program and sait that it is possible to install so they sold me the switch
