Aero Wiper Arm (OFF MK4 GOLF)

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just fitted some HID lights to my octy VRS Mk1, transforms the car! definately worth doing.

I have also just fitted the aero wiper arms and blades off a MK4 Golf. I've noticed they passenger side arm is curves up the screen more than on the octy. Which doesn't leave alot off clearance from the other arm when wiping! anyone had any problems with this......or more to the point a solution! Someone suggested putting it in a vice to take some of the curve out!

Have you got the arms on the right way round. I had this issue of my vRS until I realised I had the wrong arm on the wrong spindle.

I will check next time I get a chance, but im pretty sure I do! thanks for the advice mate

I had them on mine and they fit just fine. I think they must be fitted incorrectly as already suggested.

Cool I will have to take them off and see whats what!! they're a really **** to get off though bugger!! Do you have to use a different passenger side blade, in order to fit properly?? or just a straight swap from a mk4 Golf?

Not sure on the blade sizes. Mine were purchased from Vagparts specifically sized up for the Mk1

Mine came straight off the Mk4 Golf I owned before the Octy.

I fitted these last week after I bought the set from VWSpeed thruogh E-Bay.

The wiper blade lengths are 21" driver's side and 19" passenger side.

Mine fitted straight on and I don't think you can fit the arms on wrongly as they would foul the scuttle panel. It can only be the blades that are on the wrong arms.
