quick polish wax question

Featured Replies

I'm using Megs Gold Class wax at the mo , and Megs NXT Shampoo , they are okay , yes?

yes should be but the products i mention above are likely to be better. maybe use up what you have and then change to them.

i use AG Ultra Deep Shine and brings up my car fantastic but after a day of cleaning my friends car i think Poor Boys products seem to be really good, they dont leave the dust you get from Auto Glym and Dodo Juice Wax seems to be another amazing product i hadn't heard of before, think its £30ish for a tub but will last a while and seems to be rated as one of the best on the market currently according to a detailer.

Do PoorBoys do a polish that would be suitable as a first stage product , to be used before sealer and wax? I still have 3/4 of a bottle of Megs Gold Class and almost a full bottle of AG Extra Gloss , but I have no polish in stock at the mo!

Not sure to be honest.

I know they do SSR swirl remover, but not sure what else.

have you tried the SSR? any good to use by hand or not is what i'm thinking.

Never tried it Keith, sorry.

From what i've read though, it's suitable for hand use, although just how much correction you would get compared to a machine, i dont know.

i'm trying to avoid machine polishing but about to order a LOT of stuff for cleaning and wondered if its worth adding to my list :D

p.s. i still have those alloys here if you want them ;)

Oh aye...forgot about them !

Yes please. :D

Can collect anytime you wish.

I'm in a similar boat, i dont really want to buy a machine, but want to get the car back on form.

What products do you have in mind ?

umm cant remember the exact list but goes long the lines of...

Poorboy’s Super Slick and Suds

ClearKote Claybar Kit

ClearKote Vanilla Moose Glaze

ClearKote Red Moose Glaze

Poorboy's EX (sealant)

Dodo Juice Banana Armour

Poorboy’s Spray and Wipe

possibly Poorboy's SSR1

plus clothes, mitts, pads.

Excellent.

Wallet = Empty ! :D

small price to pay for a nice shiny car tho :D

Correct, and the products go a long way too.

Will be interesting to hear how you get on.

Seems Turtlewax products get the plaudits from the motoring press wheareas AG is rated as average. I Have used both and would prefer AG every time. Tried 'Rude Wax' recently and was quite impressed but it's AG for me.
