New bulbs- before and after pics

Cheers for the comments. They do make a vast improvement to looks (well, the sidelight ones do anyway).

To be honest I don't drive the car enough to notice the difference in performance but I asked the wife if her new bulbs were any better.

She said- "yeah, 'spose."

I did the same upgrade to my old mkIV Golf though and found a big difference on the dipped beam. Much whiter light which seemed to illuminate the road better. Won't notice any difference on full beam though as I haven't changed those!:P

Clidge, they are quite straight forward to change as long as you have a pair of long nosed pliers. A small mirror helps so you can see how the clips unhook too, but it's not essential. There's not much room behind the lights but it's do-able.

I used this thread to help.

I got phillips blue vision bulbs (side & dipped beam) for my vRS and to be honest they were alot better than standard but they didnt give a blue tint as the title says!

Im after some new bulbs for my new car as anyone got a recommendation for a bulb that give a proper blue tint?

Paul.

Full Blue tints are rubbish - makes you look like a bit of a muppet and that you can't afford proper Hid's. The light output is pretty poor too!

Stick to X-tremes or Nightbreakers.

:+1: and also second the use of long-nosed pliers for changing the sidelights, makes it a far simpler job

I'm confused, who offers the Brisky discount please!!?

Are they standard Phillips or X-Tremes you have on at the moment? If they're X-Tremes I'm just wondering how they compare against the Night Breakers.

running Philips Power 2 Night GT-150 on the golf at the moment been very pleased with them but when i put the two cars together you can see a difference.

Well, Powerbulbs.com = particularly unhelpful :(

One I quoted Briskoda, the lady said there would be a code on the forum. I said, there isn't and people said to ring up instead.

Nope.

No help whatsoever. Sales prevention at its finest:rolleyes:

So I bought from CarBulbsDirect instead... a nice easy process, so recommended!

Not so good. :(

Sorry to hear that. When I called them, the bloke I spoke to was very helpful and knew exactly what the discount was when I told him I was a member of Briskoda.

Maybe she was new. Could be worth another call back to see if you're luckier and get someones else that knows what you (and them) are talking about.

Ooo! These lot are doing the H7 Osram Nightbreakers for under £20! Powerbulbs do them at £26, I may just buy a set to use as spares. :D

edit:  should've read your whole post  Did they do you a discount as well?

He's already bought though by the sounds of it.

Might buy some come pay day though. :)

Yep, bought already. No discount, but not to worry :)
