Firstly welcome to the site

1k-1.5k is nowhere near enough mate, Plus you have to ask yourself is the chassis of a standard fabia up to the extra power your planning.

You will need firstly, a rear ARB and some springs/dampers of some kind to make it handle. then some brakes to make it stop. 312mm are a good kit.

Then if you still want more power youll need the following

hybrid turbo = 1000-1200 without fitting

FMIC = about 600-700 depending on kit , again without fitting

clutch youll need a beafy one if your after big power say 800

re-map, a decent custom re-map will set you back between 400-500

the above prices dont include fitting. and ive probably missed off something along the way, o yer exhaust, either a decat or full system looking at 200-500 for that

hope this helps

knew id missed something

Good call

Oh man, clutch, turbo, fmic, exhaust and remap here we come! (bye bye £££!) :D

I'd be saving for a clutch first, or put aside £800 in a bank account, with that sort of power, as it wont be long for this world

wat sort of clutch would yous recommend? mines already slipping abit so its time it was changed

Big power, 200 plus, helix or spec with smf flywheel

Sub 200 bhp sachs and standard dmf... i chose the helix however for a bit extra

Oh and and a Whiteline/ Jabba ARB and 312mm brakes should be high up your list :)

if you are going pure power then the spec stage 3+ is the clutch for you, coupled with the spec billet ally flywheel built to handle 600ft lbs,the last clutch you will ever need, the drawback to this is noise, the 4kg spec smf is about 20kgs lighter than the dmf,and the spec clutch feel is very direct, the helix is a compromise,it will handle the power, but won't make quite as much noise, the helix is a touch more expensive than the spec but only because of the pound is strong against the dollar making the spec item a relative bargain, the tt shop can supply one for about £900,or you could go to the trouble of sourcing one yourself for about £600,add to that a peloquin atb diff plus fitting and thats the thick end of 2k,and you've got no more horses, then a decent set of coilovers,£700,£200 for 312mm brake upgrade,£100 for some ferrodo ds2500 pads, hell this is deppresingly expensive, who in their right mind would spend this sort of cash on a little slow diesel granny car eh?

i'm maybe starting to have second thought now, lol. it will jus be a slow process, dont have 4-5k to spend on it so jus a wee bit at a time

You have the right idea doing it in stages.

My personal preference would be to do the suspension, rear ARB and brakes first. Then look at where you want to go from there. It may make sense then to just to sort the clutch out and keep with your existing map setup. Rather than changing turbo, adding an FMIC etc etc etc

Just depends what you want from the car, and of course what you're prepared to spend :)

Leather driving gloves to start :D

Also, whereabouts in the country are you? Might be worthwhile finding someone fairly local to you, or going down to a meet perhaps. Will give you chance to see what's available/possible

Just a thought....

Defo :D

And of course, they add the missing class that the Fabia lacks. :D

Class?! Who needs class? It's a working class hero, that's what it is! Have you not heard? :P
