So have you found out whether the turbo has properly failed, or whether it's a simple case of a blown pipe?

No idea, last i seen was it getting towed by RAC lol

My car is A okay

Personally I think it's a bit harsh laughing at somebody who's turbo has possibly just gone, but each to their own I suppose.

Why is it harsh?

I try not to laugh at the misfortune of others..... One day it could be you! :)

I laughed my nutz off when mine blew up.

So did I.

Mine made alot of mess, bits of compressor wheel ended up jamming a valve  Top bombing

It was awesome. Wasn't even giving it beans, it just went POP...... jangle jangle jangle jingle.....

They found a lump of wheel in the cat. WTF it managed to get past the valves I don't know.

I was going up hill in mine at full chat :D

It wont have been compressor wheel at that side then surely, if it made it into the cat. will have been exhaust turbine. for the compressor wheel to get into the cat it would have to do- intercooler-inletmanifold-through the valves- into the cylinder-be compressed in the cylinder- forced out the exhaust valves- into the VNT mech- through the vnt mech and into the exhaust turbine- out the exhaust turbine and into the CAT.

More than likely will have been the exhuast turbine breaking up on yours. A true sign of KKK over speed. did you have a de-cat ;)

I had just pulled into a junction doing about 20 mph! It was bearing failure which caused one of them to disintegrate, I am not sure which. I just gave it to the dealer and said FIX. I ended up with a new Turbo, intercooler and Cat.

Yeh when mine blew up the dealer said if you find anything past the turbo it will always be from the exhaust side, never the compressor side - If the compressor side was to even get as far as the valves it would rip the engine to pieces. The lumps can be pretty large at times.

The first time mine went, the exhaust rotor never broke up, instead the shaft sheered and the entire little thing shot into the cat. He showed it to me afterwards and I must admit the thing looked all cute just sitting on its own, on his desk, covered in oil and soot.

What a fanny blowing his turbo!!!:rofl:

This lad and his pal's been giving you hastle then that happen's.... GREAT new's.

But from my experiance, you get hastle from people because of thing's you have done yourself.....One day something is going to give on your car pal, and i hope this lad is first on the scene with a smile on his face.... now that's what i call Karma.
