Was the funniest thing ive seen in years......

The guy has hassled me for years and today came racing up behind me overtook me and POP , black / grey smoke everywhere - couldnt see a thing.

I was ****ing myself with laughter, dont think ive ever laughed as hard in my life, my cheeks are all red :P

Didnt realise a blown turbo gave off that much reek :eek:

When mine went it shot impeller into the cat, which means it went through the cylinder....

I was behind it couldn't see from the water in my eyes and the smoke, the whole road was covered :eek:

Off topic here a bit and i appologise for it.When i sed to be a bus driver we had a Volvo B10 bus that had the turbo blow on that on a dual carriageway and god did that smoke.They had to shut the road and call the fire brigade because they thought it was on fire but just plumes of oil smoke.

The smoke and bang are also the same symptoms of a hose coming off the turbo, particularly likely if on boost at the time.

It's satisfying when *that* guy gets his comeuppances. I remember being overtaken by some pratt in a BMW convertible. Only to see him having a few words with a police officer a few laybys down the road. Great fun.

My best was an Alfa Romeo driven brand new on red and white plates, tailgated me across the Tay bridge heading south, then it becomes a dual carriageway, I took off in the near side lane, he in the outside lane when suddenly loads of smoke, he came to a standstill with hazards on :-)

Second was a Civic all kitted up but I think S reg, ran up my *** pulled out and whilst alongside bang white and black smoke from bonnet and tail pipe

from what I could see under his baseball cap he looked quite sick

So have you found out whether the turbo has properly failed, or whether it's a simple case of a blown pipe?
