Hello guys,

Fingers crossed I'm gonna be a Fabia VRS owner in a week or so's time, so though I'd better join up and say hello.

Here's the story so far

Due to the ongoing problems I'm having with my Primera P12 SVE and it's somtimes dead centre console (controls sat nav, heating, aircon and cd/radio), I've visited a couple of dealers to see about trade in both dealers have looked over the car, driven it and presumable seen that the screen is dead, I've mentioned that the sat nav isn't working and they've still offered me between £2000 and £3300 for the car.

I've signed up a deal to part ex for a 05 Fabia VRS (from a Skoda main dealer, approved used car)and I'm worried there going to come back to me after I've picked my new car up and complain about the dead console.

Am I being nervous over nothing or should I REALLY make a point of telling them the console is dead and risk them either refusing to take the car or them lowering there offer (£2500), if they do this I'm stuck as I can't afford to buy it without getting this trade-in value.

What do you think I should do ?

Cheers

Alan

Don't worry, Caveat Emptor and all that. It's up to them to check it.

Dealers don't give a monkeys anyway.

Welcome :)

Thanks for the welcome guys, just waiting for the last of my funds to clear and my insurance document to come through so the dealers can tax my new baby.
